Accommodation during AAS2019
Canberra offers different types of accommodation across the city catering to various budgets and levels of comfort.
The organisers have an agreement with Gowrie Hall and John XXIII College student accommodation facilities (see details below) to accept bookings from AAS2019 conference delegates, but please note that these will be allocated on first come-first served basis. All bookings must be made directly by the delegate with the accommodation facility, not via conference administration.
We have added below also a few other suggestions based on proximity to venue or cost.
210 Nourthbourne Avenue, Braddon, ACT 2612
Gowrie Hall a post-grad residential dorm, with one large wing available for short-term room hire. From the conference venue, Gowrie Hall is reachable by a 10-minute walk to the Northbourne edge of campus, and then a short light rail ride -- or a walk. All rooms are furnished with a bed, study desk, cupboards, heater, and have access to the campus wifi. Each level of Gowrie Hall offers a male, female and unisex bathroom and its own laundry and drying facilities.
The rate of standard room for one night is $34.57

John XXIII College

John XXIII College is a 6-7 minute walk from the main venue and it offers single room accommodation with all linen supplied, each room contains a king size single bed with communal bathroom amenities. Please note: if you are bringing your own car, ANU controls the parking across campus. The entrance to the College will be undergoing renovations, however it will not impact the residential building.
